Trending – Botanical Prints

As you may , or may not, know the Pantone colour of the year is ‘greenery’ and evidence of this can be seen everywhere. You can see bright, bold, botanical prints in every major interiors store! You will find every shade of green, from fresh lime to warm olive, pale mint to bright emerald, in cushions, throws and rugs. They can be mixed with any type of wood, with white and marble and with metals such as copper and brass.

Here, Barker and Stonehouse have used a bright green foliage print wallpaper, which is accentuated with wood, copper and marble.Screen Shot 2017-03-23 at 14.51.37.png

I love how dark and moody this room from House to Homes is. The green foliage looks striking on a black background and works well on the deep raspberry wall.

Another striking look from Evergreen Direct, who are suppliers of artificial plants. If, like me, you can’t grow real houseplants, it’s worth checking them out! They mix a dark navy wall with ‘greenery’ in the sofa, cushions and of course, the plants.

Red magazine show how to add a subtle print to bedding if you’re not after a bold look, like those above.

If it’s a more pastel green you’re after, check out Maisons du Monde. They have lots of mint green in their Urban Garden range.

I’m not sure that there will be any botanical prints featured in my renovated rooms, but there will definitely be ‘greenery’, even if it is of the artificial variety!
