Decor, Spring

Simple Spring vignette

As promised yesterday, I’ve put together a simple (and it is very simple!) Spring vignette.

The warmer weather has taken the UK by surprise, with everyone thinking of Spring! As such, this vignette was quickly thrown together with a few items shopped from my decor box, all assembled on a small  wooden tray.

A spring collection wouldn’t be complete without some greenery; the one you see here is a faux eucalyptus from The Range. Something you need to know about me is that I do NOT have green fingers! I think they’re actually black, so I prefer to have faux plants to add greenery.

I also included a couple of bunnies, which are really Easter decorations, so you will be seeing them again! Last item is a pretty green glass jar with a rope trim, which is lovely as a candle holder.

Renovation Update:

Just a couple of photos to show today. As hubby insists on doing all the work in the new extension himself, progress is slow as he juggles DIY with his job, which takes him away from home 3-4 days every week.

The next room, or second room, will be the laundry room, which looks like this at the moment:

As you can see, there’s a long way to go! Hubby has insisted on oak flooring and doors throughout, which wouldn’t be my choice but as he would be the one to do any painting of doors and skirting boards, I had to give in. So we have a floor and a door ( without a handle yet!) and that’s about it.

I will be sharing my room design board with you soon, so you can see my vision for this room.  I will leave you with this thought, which I have to remember when I feel frustrated with the slow progress:
